Tiger Woods did not play this week at the Hero World Challenge 2024, saying in his pre-tournament press conference that he was not yet ready for the tournament.
On Sunday he was asked if the next time he plays could be in a fortnight at the 2024 PNC Championship, where he and son Charlie have played the last four years in the season-ending event at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida.
‘We’ll see,’ Woods told NBC’s Dan Hicks during coverage of the final round.
Woods underwent back surgery nearly three months ago and has not played competitively since the Open Championship at Royal Troon in July.
The initial field for the PNC Championship was announced last month and two of the 20 teams have yet to be announced. Surely, one of the two remaining spots will be saved if Team Woods makes it through.
During his appearance in the booth, Woods also talked about Scottie Scheffler’s new putting grip, the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black and much more.
